As joint owner of The Property Shop, I’m closely involved in the direction of the business, with a particular focus on our sales operation and ensuring that the service we provide delivers results all the way through to completion. I’ve worked in estate agency for more than ten years and have extensive experience across the entire sales process, from valuations and negotiations through to the legal process that follows an accepted offer. Today, much of my focus is on what happens after we agree a sale. I oversee our sales progression, working closely with solicitors, buyers, sellers and others throughout the chain to identify problems early, keep transactions moving and ultimately get them successfully across the line. Finding a buyer and agreeing a price is only part of selling a property. What really matters is whether that offer becomes a completion. We take enormous pride in our offer-to-completion rate, and my experience means I understand both the legal process behind a transaction and the practical realities of keeping even complicated chains together. As an owner, I’m also continually looking at the standards we set across our branches and supporting our teams with valuations, negotiations and more complex transactions. Ultimately, our job isn’t simply to find someone willing to make an offer on your home. It’s to make sure you actually get to hand them the keys.
